Crumpled brown and gold leaves scattered across the road as we took our walk this morning but the sky couldn't have been clearer and a more beautiful shade of blue. It was as close to perfect as an autumn day can get and we enjoyed our time in the fresh air. We woke early and had already completed some of the days work but Thom had a golf tournament on the agenda so we set out while he still had time.
Miscellaneous duties filled my afternoon. I worked on two birthday cakes, completed the laundry and just caught up on the little things that somehow get set aside.A dinner buffet was provided at the course so another reprieve from preparing our evening meal. That's not always a good thing for me......I succumb to laziness and skip dinner then snack all evening!
It seemed a day to take note of all the little blessings usually ignored....quiet alone time sometimes elicits that response. I am so grateful for all the things I take for granted.....may I remain mindful always....thank you Lord.
