A Winning Day Regardless.....

Remaining in bed as long as possible I somehow managed to get dressed and out the door for Sunday School and church. As SS class president Thom has to arrive early to take care of class business.....that means I get there early also to monitor and entertain the early arriving tykes till 9:00 a.m. start time. Coloring is fun but even I have my limit!

Not in the mood for the usual chores etc., we left shortly after lunch making several stops along the way (including dinner at McDonalds) and arrived at the football field by 5:00 p.m.. Brian's game commenced at 5:30ish and sadly ended in their first defeat of the season. 18 - 8 was the final score but with a record of 5 - 1 the Panthers will make the playoffs so the season will continue. I must say that although I realize the size of players on any given team is simply defined by luck, the other team was HUGE!!!! It was like watching the munchkins battle the giants. Without exaggeration some of those boys outweighed our kids by 50 - 75 lbs. and 6-8 inches! Alas, they did their best, had a great season, learned a lot and most importantly had fun!

As I write....already in my sleepy clothes with my coffee....no snack...too many animal crackers at the game....
