Jump Start.......

Normal mornings are slow and easy with coffee, the news and checking the web. Not so today.....moving at high speed from the time my feet hit the floor. I managed to feed the dogs and get coffee brewing prior to the kiddies emerging from sleep mode then the a.m. silence was shattered and the activity began in earnest.

Breakfast and morning routines were followed by a long walk in the perfect fall weather. Some playtime and lunch next then belongings were gathered and the Kahn family departed about 12:30. The afternoon afforded time to reorganize and clean, spend some playtime with the dogs and even work a little more on my list. I did the laundry and ironing and even began my Christmas cards as I sat in the recliner with a cup of coffee.

It was a fun time with the little ones and makes me appreciate quiet times a little more!

Brian's 9th birthday is today.....so big so fast. Hoping he enjoys his sleepover party with his buddies and Emily enjoys her night at the Kahn's. Looking forward to seeing them in a day or so.

It amazes me that as much as you love you children, grandchildren just have that extra special place in your heart. I am endlessly grateful for having the opportunity to be a grandma....the greatest title there is! Not to mention having a wonderful husband who is such a loving grandpa! These kiddies are all so precious.

Time to chill.....
