Off to a good start, Thom headed up to church this morning to help put the final touches on Bethlehem. I did daily chores, my workout and gathered my clothes etc. for tonight. Along the way I got a phone call from my fellow "well woman" with the end result being I'm there alone. Not a major deal since my speaking part is small but when there are a few of us the conversation keeps our minds off the chill (plus we can take turns slipping into the shops to warm up).
An afternoon of odds and ends then dinner and off we went.
The town was awesome as usual...the Roman soldiers (especially those on horseback) are particularly impressive. All the shops were wonderfully decorated with assortments of their wares and storekeepers and villagers alike were dressed in biblical era garb. I never completely toured the town or ventured out to the manger or leper colony etc. since I had to man my position at the well. Hopefully tomorrow night I can wander through and get the full experience. The weather was as expected .....I'm not sure I have any toes.
I was thrilled to have so many familiar faces visit tonight.....I had sent out e-mails and just invited everyone who crossed my path and they actually came! It was a great night.
My hot chocolate cup is empty and the warmth of my bed and my husband's toasty feet are calling.....
