Charlotte is such a beautiful city. I love the skyline, the sparkling buildings and the cleanliness of the entire metropolitan area. Till today I have rarely visited and never for any length of time, usually just traveling to a specific destination and returning. This trip was a bit different.
The Santulli's, along with Colleen, Carson, Lylah, Thom and I loaded into our cars this morning and reached our first point of interest near noon. We took a tour of Bank of America stadium, home field of the Carolina Panthers. The visit lasted nearly 90 minutes and it was great. What a cool place. From there we parked the cars downtown and traversed the streets hunting a good restaurant for lunch. We dined on a yummy meal and continued our walking tour of the city before heading to the arena for a Checkers hockey game. TJ and 4 of his brood joined us there and the kids and adults enjoyed watching the home team score their way to victory.
Late getting home but worth the lost sleep....
