My morning at the mission was a detour from my usual office work. After briefly running the volunteer hours I joined 2 other sweet ladies sorting, wrapping and organizing gifts earmarked for clients currently living at the shelter. It was heartwarming to know that these men and women facing difficult seasons in their lives would enjoy a few of the basic necessities wrapped in pretty paper beneath the tree.
Thom and I had a quick lunch at home and hit the highway for an afternoon at Aunt Joan's house. Thom took care of a few minor chores and helped with her computer issues. We were rewarded with dinner and near 6:00 o'clock joined a dozen or more family members at Janice's church for Brady's Christmas presentation. Squeaky, off key voices warmed our hearts and it was a precious time. They were so cute! The church provided snacks and a "social" afterward then off to Lyman.
Great day abounding in Christmas spirit.....
