Prepare for venting! Thom and I did our taxes today. Believe me when I say I love my country and am more then willing to pay what is necessary to keep the wheels turning. I am, however, not willing to have my money spent (or should I say squandered) on abused entitlements for those unwilling to pull their own weight through hard work and sacrifice; the manipulated funding for the slaughter of the unborn in abortion mills (namely Planned Parenthood); massive and uncontrolled benefits for those illegally residing in this country; and last but not least, cronyism in the guise of the exploration of "alternative energy" to please the environmental wackos on the left who throw endless funding at this administration. I am so enormously frustrated!
Deep Breath.
But.....we gave Uncle Sam his due for 2012 and can always hope for change of direction in 2013.
My morning was spent at the mission catching up on paperwork and filing while sharing thoughts and conversation with Becky. Thom still pretty much staying around the home place which has it's benefits....like getting those above mentioned taxes out of the way.
With the settlement of the hockey lockout Thom is currently parked in front of the Ranger game.
I haven't planned my evening yet but can guarantee it won't warrant holding the presses .....
