Power On......

A busy, busy day at CPC.  A volunteer who is interested in working as a mentor was my "shadow" all morning ....makes things a bit more interesting. A new client had my first appointment slot; a sweet, sweet girl who has rededicated her life to Christ and is heading in the right direction. It was a great encounter and I look forward to getting to know her. My calendar was full and I was on the run all day within the confines of CPC.

Surprisingly Thom's group fought the high winds and played 18 holes. The forecast was ominous and shortly after returning home the tornado warnings filled the airwaves. In anticipation of foul weather most of the churches cancelled Wednesday services and activities so we were planning on an indoor evening regardless. The skies opened up near 6 o'clock and by 5 minutes after the hour our power was history. No surprise that's the track record here.

9:30 the lights glared and we were back to normal......no longer reheating desperately needed coffee on the sterno.
