It's Gone......

Yesterday 2 large pieces of equipment were left parked across from our house at the edge of the tree line. Today we found out why and I am soooo unhappy. The owner of the property has decided to harvest all the trees for pulp and 88 acres of pine and hardwood which create the wonderful rustic atmosphere here at Camp Carney are history.....I could just cry. Our trail is gone and that woodsy,wilderness ambiance is a thing of the past. Boo Hoo!

On the bright side, there is no Walmart or sub-division in the works so in time the forest will return. Likely, not while I'm around. We were spoiled and just have to be thankful for all the fun we had the last 13 years hiking the path with the kids and the girls.

Worked hard at our chore list and just a simple Saturday night.....
