Southern Snow.....

Up  near 6:15 this morning to cheer Brady's team to a basketball victory in an early morning game....he's quite the player for a 5 year old.  Stefanie and the kids were there and after the game we gathered at Janice's to hang out. My parents made the short drive over for lunch and it was fun having the entire family together.

Thom planned to install a router for my mother and the girls and I decided to get her a very early birthday gift.....a tablet.  She loved it and although it may take some time for her to get the hang of it I think she'll put it to good use getting her emails, reading books and playing games.

We had every intention of attending two additional basketball games ....Emmy's and Brian's at 5:20 and 6:20 but by mid-afternoon snow began to fall in earnest. The games were cancelled and we headed toward home. Gastonia was experiencing conditions replicating a blizzard (by southern standards) and that part of the drive was quite rough. Things got less hazardous as we headed south and as we reached our local roadways not a flake had fallen! That's the Carolinas for you.

A bit of pre-Sunday food prep but mostly coffee and a snack.....ready for bed as of now.....
