We awoke to pouring rain and flooded lawns. Arriving at church and glancing at Jerusalem we couldn't imagine guests making their way through massive puddles in the teaming deluge to visit the soaking and damaged shops.
We attended service but due to some tummy troubles we headed home where I promptly fell asleep. Thom attended a funeral mid-afternoon but I snoozed till after 3:00. When he returned home he was convinced our program would be cancelled.... I guess I have more faith as I was certain the weather would improve.
And improve it did.....overcast and chilly but dry till closing! We hosted over 200 guests tonight bringing the Resurrection Road total to 1000 people! Not bad for year #1. The pastor shared with us that there were people at 10:15 service that had toured RR on Friday and Saturday. Folks that had shared with their tour guides that they did not attend church, some that claimed to know little of Jesus or the Bible were now sitting in the pews at Holston Creek. What a praise report!
Thank You Lord for the blessing of clear weather and the opportunity to share Your Word.....
