Last night about 10:30 as we were preparing for bed Thom received a text from Stefanie hoping he had enjoyed a good birthday and expressing her gratitude for all he has done for her and her family. What a sweet surprise as he had already received cards and gifts on Wednesday. She also added the truest statement .....mom is very lucky to have you as a husband! And I am!!!
We acknowledged his special day with a delicious Italian dinner and a tray of his favorite raspberry bars to accompany our evening coffee. Calls and FB messages peppered the day filling it with love and good wishes.
Both of us were out the door near 7 this morning. Thom to work ( a long day of tournament play) and me a full day with Brady and later Olivia, Brian and Emmy. I cooked dinner for the Tarantinos as Friday is Stefanie's late night and was on the interstate by 8 and home by 9:30.
A good tired......
