Going back in time:
Friday was a working day for Janice so I enjoyed Brady's company. We ran errands and stopped for lunch at my mother's. Janice was home at four and scooped up Olivia and her dance bag for the trip to Charlotte for recital rehearsal. Brady and I continued our sports day with games of soccer, basketball and baseball.....enough to tucker out this grandma. Steve arrived to take charge at 6:30 and I headed down the road to Stefanie's house.
Scoffed down leftover pizza and began emptying attics and sheds, transporting "garage sale" goods around the corner to Susan's house, and generally working intensely well into the night. We finally hit the pillows at 1:30 a.m. and rose at 5:30 a.m. to set things up and get the sale under way. Shoppers appeared almost immediately but after spreading items everywhere for viewing I left her to negotiate and returned to the
house. A few hours of housework later I attempted to get my second wind with a refreshing shower and went back to Janice's. We piled into her van and journeyed to Charlotte for late afternoon dancing entertainment. The kids were so cute and Olivia did a great job remembering her steps in all 4 dance selections. Once back in Gastonia I made a bee line for my car to return home before exhaustion caught up with me.
Thom spent those days working at home and participating in a charity tournament all day Saturday.....a combo work and play weekend.
Much needed calm and quiet Sunday. Busy but stay at home Monday. Travel events begin again tomorrow....gotta love this active life God has blessed us with......
