CPC hosts a little Thanksgiving brunch at the office every year so Thom and I ate a tiny breakfast and enjoyed the homemade treats they served. Our time was cut a bit short as we promised to help out in the kitchen at Miracle Hill in preparation for Turkey Day for the clients and community homeless. It was a challenge to remove the blemishes from what seemed like a ton of sweet potatoes but we were up for the task. We worked a couple of hours and then navigated the torrential rains all the way home.
Baking busied my entire afternoon. Even now the final item is just nearing completion in the oven. YUM.
