Yesterday Thom started his new "gig" as permanent teacher of a men's SS class. I am considering breaking the gender barrier and finding a seat in the back row! I love listening to him teach, I learn so much!
We had a typical Sunday afternoon and at 5:15 I headed back to Holston Creek to assist in the craft room at VBS. Fun seeing all those kids enjoying their creations and learning more about Jesus.
This morning we began CPC VBS at a Spartanburg church. They were kind enough to give us space for our ladies to meet and have fun while their children attend the church's vacation bible school. This year we have a "spa" theme "....be still, and know that I am God.....". Our girls are rarely pampered and it is sweet watching them enjoy feeling special. Bible study, prayer, music, crafts and of course food filled our two hour window of time. Blessed way to begin the day.
Home to chores and will be off to HC VBS again tonight.
God is good......
