Two Occasions.......

Thom spent most of his Saturday constructing Bethlehem with 40 other men from Holston Creek. It is a major project but many hands make light work and he enjoyed the fellowship as well as the results.

After a shower to freshen up we both went to visit Debra as she recovered from knee surgery. I had prepared an Italian dinner complete with salad and dessert for her and the family so we delivered the repast and stayed a while to just hang out and chat.

Our own dinner was served to us at IHOP (compliments of a free meal coupon I get in my email for my birthday). One other quick store stop and we were back home.

This morning we attended service in Gastonia with the Kahn family. Olivia was singing "Happy Birthday Jesus" during the worship time....she did great and just knowing that she knows the Lord brought tears to my eyes as she sang His praises.

After church we headed back to my mom's where she served up a yummy brunch for the entire family topped off with cupcakes and presents to celebrate my birthday. I actually have one more day of being 66 but today is actually our wedding anniversary so it was a double celebration!

We were headed home when a call from Steve had us detour to retrieve Julia and Ben from his car and deliver them to their mom down the interstate 40 or so miles away.  Brady had ridden with them and gotten sick so Steve needed to get him home and the kids needed to get to Georgia. No biggy. We dropped them off at Exit 35 and finally made it home about 5:30.

Mish mosh dinner of Thanksgiving scraps.

Thank you sweet Lord for 18 years of marriage to a sweet Godly man......
