Blessed......

The house was packed and we had a wonderful (if not crowded) holiday. Family and guests arrived about 2 o'clock.

There were appetizers abundant enough to replace the main course. I experimented with a few new tasty recipes and my mom and aunt brought all kinds of delicacies.

Beautiful weather encouraged us to cram every moment of outdoor activity into the remaining daylight hours. I prepared a fall version of our annual "hunt" in the woods and the kids were treated to a rare sight of 5-8 turkeys running freely among the trees (glad not to be dinner I presume). Everyone found there item and upon exiting the forest the crowd headed for the boat where Thom piled them all on the pontoon for a tour of the lake. Some basketball followed and just lots fresh air fun.

Crafts at the kitchen table while I put the finishing touches on dinner and then the feasting began. Delicious.....my thanks to Susan and Ryan for providing the amazing bird and Stefanie and Janice for their yummy contributions.

An entertainment break before dessert.....homemade "Minute to Win It" games. An absolute riot!!!

Tons of sweet treats......stuffed.

Empty house by 10:00.....sooooo ready for sleep.....Thank You sweet Lord for the blessings of this and every day.....
