Served And Serving.......

The wonderful staff at CPC hosted a drop in open house this morning for volunteers with a tempting array of homemade treats. Thom and I arrived at 10:00 a.m. and enjoyed the company of a dozen or so sweet ladies that I work with along with Alexia, Debra and Elizabeth. Delicious and fun!

Our stay was cut short by our previous commitment to work at Miracle Hill preparing the Thanksgiving meal to be served to the homeless throughout the upstate. We cut potatoes, chopped celery and onions and pulled apart yummy smelling cooked turkeys. At last count over 430 turkeys were fried and ready for consumption!  Nice to be a small part of the effort.

Home by late afternoon and on to our own chores. Finally seeing the end in sight, only a few more food items to cook and a house to clean......more then enough.....
