'Tis The Season......

As with most families the days surrounding Christmas are both joyful and hectic. The series of festivities began with Christmas Eve lunch with the Wylies. Unfortunately Ryan was required to work but Jennifer and the girls spent a few hours at Camp Carney enjoying conversation and games.

At their departure we hopped in the car headed for dinner and gift giving at the Bishops. What a fun time. The little ones were so excited and with Thom's new phone they tracked Santa's progress all evening.  A sweet time.

Next stop was communion service at 11:20. As chairman of the committee we had to get there early to finish preparations. It was a beautiful time of worship with inspirational music and an uplifting message.
Again chairman duties kept us there till the cleanup was complete.....home near one o'clock!

Christmas morning....quick coffee and gift exchange under our little tree then back on the road for breakfast with the growing Carney clan in Rock Hill. Everyone seemed pleased with their gifts and for a while the room was hidden in piles of gift wrap scattered in the frenzy. We had enough time to visit a bit and talk and play before TJ and the crew needed to set off in one direction and us in the other.

Stefanie's house was our final stop. She hosted an amazing Christmas Day celebration with the Kahns, my parents and my aunt also attending. Piles of presents, delicious food and loving family.....doesn't get any better.

Late to home with a brief respite yesterday morning before it was off to Gastonia once again for Kahn Christmas. We stopped enroute at the Tarantino's for Thom to install an undercounter radio in the kitchen and then at Aunt Joan's for a tutorial on the new tablet we bought her. Finally to Janice's. Another yummy meal and time with Julia and Ben in addition to all the other grands. One more great day in the memory bank.

Early up ......Thom golfing....remainder of this day lies ahead.....
