Rewind......

Enjoyable labors at the mission on Tuesday made a touch more interesting by meeting a young lady who was my  "no show" client at CPC the previous Wednesday. Sweet girl who unexpectedly had trouble with public transportation and arrived over 35 minutes late. She had been my last appointment so I had gone home. But love abounds at CPC and Debra had chatted with her and provided her with materials to get her started in the program. A blessing.

Thom and friends had golfed at a distant course but we met at home and had a pleasant afternoon.

Wednesday was typically wonderful at CPC with 100% client turnout and a lunch break of banquet preparation errands and chores.  After dinner our plans changed abruptly when we noticed an invitation from Alexia on FB. The former Attorney General, Alberto Gonzalez was speaking at North Greenville University (a Christian college) along with a local Pastor (and representative of the Southern Baptist Convention), and the President of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The topic of discussion was immigration and it was hosted by a local radio host (and someone we are privileged to know personally).  We hopped in the car and made our way to the campus arriving just as the event began. Great message from the Pastor and enjoyed the AG. Not sure my position on this issue will soften......not a fan of rewarding illegal behavior no matter how they try to sugar coat it.

Another FB announcement that set us praying. The girl I mentioned earlier as my "soon to be" client gave birth to her baby boy yesterday. Extremely early delivery with him weighing only 1 lb. 14 oz.. Waiting for updates but prospects are grim.

Today was dull but fine. Odds and ends. Thom diligently laboring all day on yard work.

Ready for hockey for him and jumping jacks for me....
