Work Trip.......

I was thrilled to get my hair cut this morning. It was getting out of control as the warm weather frizzies began to take over. It was a quick cut and run however . No sooner had I arrived home and we were headed up to Gastonia.

Thom, Steve and the ever helpful Brady tackled the laying of a moisture barrier beneath the Kahn home. It was quite the job but the three worked hard together and finished in a few hours. Brady was so proud of his filthy clothes and  "workman" look as he donned a face mask to prevent inhaling all the dust and dirt while hunched over with his dad and grandpa under the support beams. To avoid boredom I tackled a few spring  chores to help Janice and work at that location was concluded near 3:00.

Next we headed to my parents where Thom hung shutters and attacked my mother's "to do" list. I was able to accomplish some of the more minor items and after a cup of coffee and a bit of conversation we left for the third and final stop.

Boomer Tarantino had chewed through the gate used to confine him to the kitchen and Thom had constructed a new one. The installation hooks however had loosened  and he went to work repairing his handiwork to create a sturdier barrier. A minor item or two as well and we were once more on the road, this time for home.

Chinese dinner was the reward for his unselfish day of labor. Sadly the evening has been updates on the Boston bombing.

Lord bless those victimized  by this outrage........
