Taking A Breath.......

Up before the sun yesterday and at Lyman Lake Lodge by 8 a.m. to begin preparations for the missionary cookout. Sadly the rain prevented us from bringing over the boat but we did provide corn hole and our "red neck horseshoe" game for entertainment on the enclosed porch. Approximately 100 guests began arriving about 10:30 and we had cleaned and vacated the facility by 2:30. Busy, busy but fun event.

We returned home for a short afternoon break and returned to be greeters at  the sanctuary door before the next conference session. Another enormous dessert array was served after the last speaker. Thom and I mingled a bit but I primarily stayed with Alexia at the CPC booth promoting our ministry, sharing information and recruiting volunteers. The displays were dismantled about 10 p.m. and after loading her car we headed home......tuckered out!

Early service was eliminated today so we slept in a bit and attended SS prior to 11:00 worship. Our missionary provided a stirring message challenging us once again to aggressively seek service opportunities. One more huge meal in the FLC along with fellowship and tempting treats.

Home near 2:00 p.m.. We've purchased tickets on line for the 4:10 showing of "God's Not Dead" at a Spartanburg theater. We have heard great reviews and I am looking forward to seeing it.

Ready to leave home.....a few stops on the way.....
