On The Road.....

I think I seriously must recommit to this blog or bail out entirely.

For now I'll just share the latest activity log. Thursday the 29th of May we headed to Pennsylvania for a wonderful visit with Pop and Dot. We had an amazing time with hours to catch up and enjoy their company. One highlight was the surprise we planned. Cheryl and Tami drove up with 5 of the kids and surprised Pop and Dot. They were waiting in the Italian restaurant when we entered after church service! It was so cool!!!!
After a yummy meal we spent the afternoon back at the house. The kids played and everyone had a chance to "visit". So grateful to the girls for making the trip......what a blessing!

We endured the 11 hour trip home in one day and it was good to be back at Camp Carney. We picked up on our usual pursuits for the week. I went to Miracle Hill on Tuesday and was asked to return during my CPC lunch break on Wednesday to attend a staff meeting. The mission is planning to open a store for clients modeled after the one we have in the EWYL program and I contributed ideas and recommendations from our experience.

Thursday was Gastonia day with my mother's "to do" request list for Thom. Hung out and enjoyed dinner with Stefanie, Janice and families. Love and had been missing them.

Early alarm again today. CPC had to relocate their storage items from a warehouse to a new facility and Thom and I helped accomplish the move. We supplied the trailer and along with the staff and interns loaded and unloaded tons of stuff in just a few hours. Lots of work but lots of fun.....when you labor for God's ministry it is always enjoyable!

Lawn work and pool maintenance kept Thom working and sweating all afternoon. My chores were indoors and cooler.

Too many blessings to count. We serve such a mighty, compassionate and generous God........
