Place To Place.......

The alarm rang at 7:15 and we were off and running.

First stop.....Divot was dropped off at the groomers. In her 10 years of life we have never had her groomed. Thom was always in charge of the dog's maintenance and armed with shampoo, brush and scissors did a good job but it was time to splurge. She did great and when we picked her up in the afternoon she was sweet smelling and beautiful.

From doggy care we drove to CPC for the annual Thanksgiving open house. As usual staff set out a delicious spread and we enjoyed the company of a great group of volunteers as people came in and out for the drop in event. Love that place and my sweet sisters in Christ.

Next was Miracle Hill where they were preparing hundreds of turkeys for a feast for the homeless and needy in the community. Surprisingly most of the veggies and potatoes had been peeled and cut  (a cullinary class from the local vocational school had volunteered their time). With those jobs done, Thom ,myself and my CPC friend Nancy set out to stock and organize the "store". We retrieved bags of donated toys from the basement and put a dent in the project before heading home.

Baking and upcoming holiday chores occupied what was left of our day.

So very grateful for all the opportunities the Lord has graced me with to fellowship with other believers and work in the fields.......
