Lights Upon The Water......

Two o'clock brought the arrival of family. As is the holiday habit the visit began with crafts and munchies. Thom and Steve gathered up the kiddies and put their talents to work decorating the boat as I got together an early dinner.

We all loaded onto the pontoon wrapped in blankets and donning Santa hats at 5:30 and joined 15 of our lake neighbors to circle the shoreline. The vessels were brightly and colorfully lit with some carrying Christmas trees and one pulling a red hatted Snoopy and Woodstock in a canoe. We sang Christmas songs (alone and with the radio) and had a fun, fun time. Until.....the engine died! We were in line not far from a friends pontoon and thankfully he came to the rescue. They towed us home! Blessed by good neighbors!

Back from our floatilla adventure we enjoyed hot chocolate and warm apple cider, sang happy birthday to Stefanie, opened her gifts and settled into "It's A Wonderful Life".

Tail lights by 9:30.

It is a wonderful life.......thank You Lord........
