After a few nights sleeping on the recliner hacking his way through the wee hours, Thom was able to get an almost peaceful rest in bed. The occasional coughing jag woke me a few times but at least he was more comfortable. He rose for his golf game and I followed suit shortly after for a day of laundry and scrubbing bathrooms and floors. Actually no complaints....I opened the house for some chilly air and just kept moving to keep warm!
We got our walk in and I returned to my exercise routine .... at 5:15 dinner was served at church prior to the opening of our Fall Festival.
It was a super event made all the more special by having the Bishops and the Wylies come and enjoy the food and activities. Thom and I were costume judges....it was a tough job especially with the little ones. There was competition by age group and so many cute and creative ideas. We awarded 3 major winners per group but every participant got a "medal". A wide variety of games lined the gym walls and there was a trip to the Hall of Faith where bible stories come to life. It was a terrific night.
Finishing off our evening we relaxed at the parsonage for while just chatting and hanging out. Pastor and Jan are such great people and we have fun spending time with them.
Late night out for us....home at 10:15! Ranger game for my sweet husband and bed and book for me......
