Sunday got off to a good start with SS and an inspiring message at worship service. In light of the upcoming 4th of July holiday and the recent Supreme Court decisions our pastor preached on the moral decay of our beloved country. The frustration is over whelming as we Christians find God's Word being trampled by our government. We need to rise up in protest but how? I am considering initiating a community action committee in our church to, at the very least, inform members of political gatherings and events in which they can participate and make their voices heard as well as addresses and phone numbers of representatives to call and express opinions.
Thom spent the afternoon on lawn work and I completed the unpacking etc. Back to Holston Creek for our patriotic cook out complete with music, good food and fellowship.
Made it home in time to walk the dogs before crashing for the night in the recliner.
Thank you sweet Lord for a fine Sabbath.....
