Backtracking.....

I was blessed with a terrific Mother's Day here at Camp Carney. Well wishes arrived by text and USPS and the Kahns, Tarantinos, my mother and aunt were here to share the day. The usual outdoor fun of fishing, canoeing, pedal boats, pontoon rides, corn hole and a variety of lawn games entertained us before and after Thom and Steve grilled up burgers and dogs. The girls and I took a long walk to close the day and it was wonderful!

Monday was clean up and reorganize along with odds and ends, Tuesday was mission morning and a late afternoon trip to Becky's house where my sweet husband examined her attic space to plan additional flooring, assembled her lawn mower and began repairs on her Kuerig (had to take it home but fixed it today). We made it home for the puck to drop and cheered the Rangers to victory.

Yesterday was a CPC  and golf day. My morning clients cancelled but it was a fun time anyway, helping stock the store shelves and running grocery errands. Our Pastor's wife, Jan, is attending this round of volunteer training. I am thrilled that she will be serving there. One of my favorite young clients came in the afternoon but by 4 p.m. I was headed home. We traveled to the other side of Spartanburg in early evening to cheer Carson's baseball team to victory. He had a couple of good hits and it was cute to watch. Love the Bishop family!

Slept in a bit this morning but a full day of stuff to get done. Shortly before noon Thom received a call from the golf course. One of their computers got fried by lightening so Mr. Fixit was solicited to work his magic. We did a Walmart run when he returned and after a brief break we delivered an full course Italian meal I had prepared to our sweet friend Debra in Duncan who recently had knee replacement surgery. Home for leftovers.

Heading to exercise bike time, a relaxing shower and Todd Starnes book.....
