Disorderly House....

To avoid a day of spackle dust and the not so pleasant smell of paint, Thom and I headed to the church about 9:30. Thom met with the Pastor regarding the new SS class and I worked in the pantry. Much of the food was due to expire by year's end and since the shelves were quite well stocked I packed bags and boxes for delivery to the mission. We drove it down to Miracle Hill and returned home by lunch. A quick afternoon and we were gone again. CPC board members had the privilege of having a light meal and some small group time with the prolific Christian author Max Lucado before he was the keynote speaker at a community gathering and prayer meeting. He autographed copies of his new book and it was cool having a bit of one on one time. His message was impressive and we left with a better understanding of prayer and scripture. We are so blessed by all the doors that have been opened to us through our involvement at CPC. Our gracious God just continues to favor us through His love. Home for a bit of airing out the house, a little TV but now ready for sleep......
