Shoe Boxes.....

Another few days have flown by since my last post.

Let's see......Friday was my favorite day of the year. It was our volunteer day at Operation Christmas Child in Charlotte. Unfortunately the registration process this year was a disaster. Our work date was less then desirable and sadly a date and time that was not convenient to all. The Kahns and Carneys weren't able to make it work for them but it was a super fun, hardworking 5 hours with Colleen, Stefanie, Brian, Jonathan, Nancy, Thom and I. There are no words to describe the experience.....it's addictive....the love of Christ permeates the entire building.....such a God thing! The 7 of us and approximately 993 others worked side by side to deliver these shoe boxes into the hands of little children who will come to know Jesus through these humble gifts. When we arrived at 5 p.m. 130,000 shoe boxes had already been processed that day and 1.5 million since the season began. Such a blessing.

Saturday was morning chores then I met Stefanie half way and picked up Emmy for an overnight visit at Camp Carney. We did a painting craft, baked cookies, wrapped gifts and watched holiday movies. Thom treated us to a sit down dinner at a Chinese restaurant with great food (and plenty of it). Super fun.

Up and to service early. We later headed to Gastonia for a big family lunch and celebration of Stefanie's birthday. We stopped for Sam's chickens and sides so there was no preparation involved. She loved her cake (a word search on all the "hats" she wears) and it was just a sweet day.

The 12th Panther win and currently a Ranger lead.

Life is good. Thank You sweet Lord......
