We spent a fabulous Christmas Eve at the Bishops. The festivities started at 2 p.m.. The decision was made for an easy dinner of hero sandwiches and salads but Colleen (the ultimate hostess) also prepared an array of yummy appetizers which we scoffed up before unloading the meal from the car. Jennifer and her family joined us there and we had our gift exchange before heading off to church with Colleen, Mike, Lylah and Carson for evening service. Like last year the children presented the Christmas story and this time Carson played Joseph. We returned for dessert and an evening of games and tons of laughter.
Morning came and after coffee and our little Christmas it was back on the road for breakfast in Rock Hill with the Carney clan. The kiddies were precious and our gifts were a hit (always makes me feel good). Next stop was Stefanie's house. Unfortunately Steve was under the weather so he was absent from a super celebration day. The Kahns plus my mom and aunt ate a great meal and we enjoyed another night of games and hours of hysterical laughter.
A bit of reorganizing Saturday morning and Nancy and Mike for dessert and Sequence on Saturday night. Good time with good friends.
Sunday worship and SS then back to Colleens to meet Vader, their new puppy. Finally we crashed for a bit with the Panther game and closed the day with evening service.
Up early this morning for a haircut and we are about to leave for another Gastonia Christmas. Julia and Ben have arrived and Brian and Emmy have returned from their holiday in Ohio with their father. Can't wait to see them all and enjoy the final family party of this season.
Long week full of too many blessings to count......
